To achieve its mission, the Council will pursue four interconnected goals...
Realize a comprehensive, national system of monitoring and reporting on children's well-being and development across Canadian society, with reference to international benchmarks.
Build across Canada, a critical mass of awareness, understanding and support for early child development and its importance for the future of Canada.
Influence federal, provincial/territorial and community policies that relate to early child development towards a publicly financed system aligned with education and health.
Facilitate at least 6 jurisdictions in Canada to commit to a system of early child development, parenting, learning and care, aligned with education and health, and reflecting our best knowledge of early child development science, program quality and community engagement.
