Early child development programs focus primarily on the development and well-being of children. The involvement and support of parents and families in the program is an element of quality that maximizes the children’s experiences. There is reciprocity to parent involvement in their children’s early learning.
Educating parents not only benefits them and their children, but it is one of the most effective means of raising awareness and increasing public understanding of early childhood programs when they share what they learn with other parents.
