Network of Canadians for Early Human Development
Under the leadership of the former CECD Fellows, a network that links communities, individuals and organizations across the country in support of early human development is being built. The work of the CECD Fellows over the last few years has illuminated the capacity and commitment of hundreds of locally based leaders across the country to work for social change. We hope that many of you will continue with us on this journey towards revitalized communities for our children and families.
The Network of Canadians for Early Human Development will be a pan-Canadian learning community whose vision is: to better support young children and families through research, relationship building and community action.
The Network will link local and provincial networks across the country, and internationally, to increase knowledge sharing, collaborative action and impact.
Though still in its formation, the Network has started work on several initiatives:
- A draft "HUMANIFESTO" that outlines our vision, beliefs and goals;
- An intensive four-day dialogue next May, designed to move the Network from idea to action
