RESOURCE FAIR

A resource fair will take place as a part of the conference.  The fair will provide an opportunity for conference participants to learn from each other about “putting science into action” in communities across Canada.  Display tables will be made available to exhibitors to provide information on their innovative initiatives to support young children and their families.  The fair will emphasize the following themes and displays will be grouped according to their theme.  The set up will facilitate sharing between exhibitors as well as with conference participants.

  • Parent education and support
  • Zero to three initiatives
  • Building “family friendly” businesses
  • Innovative policy
  • “Not the usual suspects” – engaging non-traditional partners
  • Use of data in program and policy development

When: From 2 p.m. May 13th to Noon on May 15th

Where: Jennings Building.  This is a high traffic area where all conference participants will pass through.

The SCIENCE is
WELL-ESTABLISHED

Infant mortality is
recognized internationally
as an important health
measure. Iceland has
reduced its rate to
2.4 deaths per 1,000
live births, a benchmark
for the world.

A good beginning to life is
the foundation for future development, health and well-being. We recognise
the importance of the early years but why is the field
so fragmented & lacking integration of research,
policy and practice?
