Conference Fees
- The full registration fee is $450.
- The fee for the Pre-conference Workshops is $40.
- For May 13 only, there is a special one-day rate of $175 for all proceedings. This includes the Pre-conference Workshops, the conference opening and dinner and refreshments. The one-date rate is only applicable for events on May 13.
Substitutions and Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend, we strongly encourage you to send a substitute representative from your organization. To send a replacement, please email conference@councilecd.ca with the replacement’s name, title and address. However, we cannot guarantee special requirements for last minute registrations or substitutions.
To request a refund email conference@councilecd.ca. A refund on paid fees will be made, less a $50 processing charge. No refunds will be issued for any missed sessions or events, including sessions missed due to travel delays or cancellations.
Meals and Refreshments
The full conference fee includes all meals and refreshments:
- May 13 (general delegates) – welcome refreshments and dinner
- May 14 – breakfast, lunch, a down-home BBQ dinner and morning and afternoon refreshment breaks
- May 15 – breakfast, lunch and refreshment break
May 13 pre-conference workshops include one refreshment break. Mount Allison also has a cafeteria and lounge.
Special physical / dietary needs
If you have any special physical or dietary needs, please indicate this on your registration form.
Maritime Hospitality
A conference Welcome Centre is open to delegates arriving on May 12 and 13, 2009. Please visit us upstairs in Jennings Dining Hall to receive your registration material. The on-site registration/information is open:
- May 12 – 6 pm – 10 pm
- May 13 – 7:30 am – 5 pm
Your registration includes performances by three internationally-recognized youth groups: an ensemble from the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra with members of the Saint John String Quartet and the Hillsborough Girls' Choir, showing in the new Wallace McCain Student Centre. On day two, the Sussex Avenue Fiddlers keep toes tapping at a "down home" BBQ, to be followed by an original theatre piece. Some of Sackville's youngest citizens will show off their talent throughout the conference, giving meaning to early childhood development in action. Start off May 14 with a guided breakfast walk along Sackville's famous Waterfowl Park.
